金融學院陳盛通院長致詞時提到，非常感謝幾位資深系友積極奔走、發動募捐，成立「陽肇昌教授紀念講堂」，藉由講堂系列活動的安排，讓校友們返校充電，也讓在校學弟妹有機會聆聽產業界專家及傑出校友們對未來金融的分享與引領。

高董事長說，回憶民國52年逢甲從大坑遷址西屯時期，那一代人以無比堅定的毅力辦學校、創系所，陽肇昌教授可說是具代表性的人物之一。金融學院幾位資深系友懷著感念的心情，成立肇昌講堂、籌辦這場研討會，可謂之「前人種樹，後人乘涼」，亦可說是「開枝散葉，大樹成林」，而這也就是教育百年樹人的大業。也期許大家應該堅定的繼往開來，所有逢甲人一起努力，為下一代的教育做最大的貢獻。

李校長表示，對接現今蓬勃發展、準備要邁向國際的金融產業，逢甲大學有這樣的專業學院，還有創系主任陽肇昌教授的精神感召，相信金融學院未來一定能在台灣、在全世界綻放光芒。陽肇昌教授墾拓台灣保險事業半世紀，對台灣保險事業的貢獻舉足輕重，也在教育工作上留下足跡，讓曾經受業於門下的校友、老師都深受影響、感念於心。如今台灣保險事業能夠如此蓬勃，都是陽老師擔任領航員、承先啟後，堪稱台灣保險產官學界的翹楚。

金融監督管理委員會黃天牧主委致詞時提到，從產官學角度看，陽肇昌老師對台灣保險業的發展做了最大的貢獻，逢甲大學是少數在國內成立銀行保險科系的大學，尤其民國60年成立第一個保險研究所，都是在陽教授推動下創設的。逢甲經過一甲子的發展，下一個甲子又將會是另一番盛況。預祝逢甲大學在過去良好基礎上，下一個甲子能夠再創新猶。

校友總會施鵬賢總會長說自己是建築系畢業，沒有機會上陽教授的課，但看到金融學院校友的傑出表現，感受到陽教授百年樹人的教育精神，影響著整個世代，也深深影響著今日台灣金融保險產界，著實令人感佩。
